Weird Existing Animals

Call for Mail Art: Weird (existing) Animals! Platypus, Tapir, Okapi, Echidna, Mole, Axolotl are some of my favourite animals. They have in common that they exist irl and that they are uncommon. Which animal do you think odd? Send your image of an unusual (existing, no fantasy) animal. All media are welcomed, preferable postcard size (10x15 cms), maximum A4 (20x30 cms). No jury, no fee, no return. All weird existing animals will be published in this ongoing virtual exhibition.

Otto Sherman

Otto Sherman from the USA created a lot of great artistamps showing famous or notorious people.
I was happy to also receive these cow and rat artistamps and cockroach rubber stamp prints, because I love more to post lovely and useful animals (yes, real rats and cockroaches really are!) on this Real Weird Animals blog than not-so-friendly human 'beasts'.

Guido Vermeulen (5)

"From R. Budha Thokhi (Nepal) and Guido Vermeulen (Belgium) based on the reflections by Gaston Bachelard (France)", the back side of this beautiful insect card says.
I'm not sure whether the insect is a cockroach or a longhorn beetle or any other insect, but his/her philosophic and poetical talents are awesome anyhow.

'Qui faire si on n'existe pas?' - 'What to do when one doesn't exist?', these two (existing? non-existing??) people are saying on the front side of the envelope. Created and all sent by Guido Vermeulen.

Together with this nice booklet. I still didn't find the perfect way to show books well in this blog, but be sure, Guido, that I'm enjoying it, thank you very much!
