Did I ever tell that Platypus mail art steals my heart?
Carina had the Platypus do so, by sending a wonderful piece of mail art from Finland.

Well, at first sight it was not clear. A brown envelope, showing a mushroom stamp.
And a Robot...

... or not a Robot...

But when I opened the envelope, I saw the beautiful Platypus you see on top!

Also inside, an original piece of great art by Carina, titled 'Roots':

When looking further, there suddenly appeared two cousins, two Monotremes... My favourite Australian mammals!
An other Platypus...

... and the Echidna!

Finally a nice piece of mail art, to which I hope to add something soon because it is missing something, so I can return it to Carina:

Thank you very much, Carina!

I love this envelope from Carina, showing so many cool animals!

The content is pretty and interesting, too. Among it a small lovely letter:

An other kind message:

A contribution to my 'What or whom is she staring at' mail art project:

A piece of design paper. protected by this little fellow:

Folders about Carina's work:

And a nice backside of the envelope:

Thank you very much, Carina!

Over a month ago it was International Banana Day, and I received and sent Banana Mail Art.
In some of the mail art, when looking closer, there were some animals, too!

This one I received from Carina from Finland. It's a nice looking animal: the 'Gordeldier' ('Belt animal') we say in Dutch, or 'Vyötiäiset' in Suomi, also known as the Armadillo.
And see the special stamp: honeycomb shaped, as if the Finnish mail has cooperated with the Bees!

Thank you very much, Carina!

I'm happy to receive this Mail Cat, accompanied by a stamp of the Finnish national bird: the Whooper Swan.
On the front side an interesting collage, almost a 3D one!

Created and sent from Finland by Carina Granlund.
Thank you very much, Carina!
