Eva (31)

Tucan, defending its right to a shaded corner - something we all need in the heat. Great drawing made and sent by Eva, thank you so very much!

Eva (30)

It has been one year and one-day-and-half since I posted my most recent blog post here at 'Real Weird Animals'... Meanwhile I have received so many beautiful matching mail art!
I apologize for being this late, and I guess my huge backlog (in sharing my received mail with you) will keep on being huge.
Hopefully, and step by step I'll show you the gems. To start with this Squirrel, named Francis, which I received today:

I wish the squirrel would have been baking pancakes for me, but fact is, he is baking for his BF, Peris Little-Dormouse :-) Made and sent (and accompanied by a matching story) by Eva. Thank you very much!

Robin

So much to see and discover on this beautiful collage by Robin from the Netherlands!

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank, Robin!

Nicole Eippers (29)

Wonderful envelope from Nicole Eippers, tmo the Queen of Collage mail art!
The mail arrived despite of the location of the postmark :-)

Enclosed this great Mole shown above, and ATC's: of a Tardigrade, Chameleon, Lyrebird and a Sea Slug. And of course Nicole's famous Flying Piggy.

Mail Monster!

One and half year ago I promised to reply to Eva's mail. But it appeared that the to-reply-to mail had disappeared.

Thanks to Eva's new mail I now know why!

See more Mail Monsters on Eva's Mail Monsters Postal Project website!

On the backside of the card there is this beautiful bridge stamp... Without bridge! Another Mail Monster's act?

Ruud Janssen (9)

Sent by Ruud Janssen from the Netherlands, this awesome artistamp. The artistamp is showing Ruud himself and has been designed by Domenico Ferrara Foria, in honour of the 35th anniversary of the International Union of Mail Artists (IUOMA), which takes place this year! Ruud is the founder of this great network.

The artistamp arrived in this envelope, which is an alibi to post the mail art here: there are animals on it!

Funny detail might be the fact that the snail mail snail and Year of the Dog stamp have been designed by me :-) Always nice to see them travel.
I've sent the original stamps to Ruud Janssen, because he also is curating the TAM rubberstamp archive.

Also in this envelope this bright work of art arrived:

Created by Ruud Janssen. I guess it is named bits and bytes, or some other name?!?

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank, Ruud!

Jimmy Connors (9)

Rabbit, Lion, Human being, Birds.
Thank you very much, Jimmy COnnors!
