Fraenz (2)

Fraenz has hosted several mail art projects, including digital projects. Among them this digital ephemeral project.

I've drawn an analogue barcode Cow, scanned it to make it digital, added some words to it and emailed this Cow to Fraenz. And he was so kind to send me this documentation - on paper - from Luxembourg.

See more documentation on digitalephemeral.blogspot.lu.

Thank you very much, Fraenz!

Katerina Nikoltsou (32)

Who could ever have thought that this piece of orange mail art would have something to do with Animals?

Well, it does: Bats on the back side!

And how can this Goldfish be related to Mammals?

Well, just add some Horses on the back!

Created and sent by Katerina from Greece.

Thank you very much, Katerina!

Stripygoose (14)

From the Sofa series, this tiny Bird and a sofa resting on.. books!
Created and sent from the UK by StripyGoose.

On the back side a pretty Bat stamp, a Bird artistamp and Stripygoose's famous Bird rubberstamp:

Thank you very much, Stripygoose!

Jimmy Connors (7)

This Human being is said to be a vega sausage (?) but maybe it also is a weird collage?

Created and sent by Jimmy Connors from Germany.

THank you very much, herzlichen Dank, Jimmy!

Boscographix

This surprise mail I received from Boscographix from the USA. Between the postage stamps and the airmail stamp a tiny Squirrel eating an oak seed, that's a good alibi to post this mail art on this blog. And the great rubber stamps of Humans, are of course too.

And inside the envelope a great surprise: Dutch postage stamps of bells and a street organ! (How did the sender know that I love music, too?!)

Thank you very much, Boscographix!

Katerina Nikoltsou (31)

An impressive animal swam to my place: a Whale!

Sent by Katerina from Greece, and she added a clue to the 'what or whom is she staring at?' card:

Indeed, apples, onions and.. more impressive animals: Dinosaurs!

Along with some orange:

And this lovely Goldfish:

And some money, to check whether I am bribable or not:

Thank you very much, Katerina!

Ficus Strangulensis (2)

Rotifera are very small animals, living in the pond. And Ficus Strangulensis has seen them in real, and even photographed them!

Here two pictures:

They came in an envelope, of which the back side reminds me of a kind of ficus:

And the rotifera were acoompanied by this plant, growing in Fike's yard:

Thank you very much, Ficus!

Jimmy Connors (5, 6)

This colourful Dog/Fox, and much more animals, has been sent by Jimmy Connors from Berlin to the Netherlands.
Sending mail in return seems to be a little harder, but we'll re-try!

A portable postcard!

Note the Birds on the stamp: the Toucan's name in German is a funny one: Pfefferfresser (literally: pepper eater).

And I learned that Frogs can be mammals, too.

Thank you very much, vielen Dank, Jimmy!

Mail Art Martha (9)

I love comics, and those of Mail Art Martha are great. See how Ali Khat and Vermina Rat are chatting. And wonder, with us, whether Vermina will succeed in entering the IUOMA Orange group or not :-)

Created and sent by Mail Art Martha.
She added also a tiny book in which there is an explanation about apples, Celts and Halloween. Interesting!

And well-known artistamps on the envelope! The Fish by Keith Chambers (see also here), and the Clowns project stamp, from the collaboration between Mail Art Martha and Cascadia Artpost.

Thank you very much, Mail Art Martha!
