Katerina Nikoltsou (35)

In the title I counted nr 35, although that is incorrect: Katerina has made and send me much more great and very much appreciated mail art. Only lack of time made me publish just a few pieces of mail art in the past years.
This Whale in Space is one of the examples of Katerina's wonderful mail art works, mixed media (acryl paint, collage) and caused a big smile on my face, as big as the whale's smile. Thank you very much, Katerina!

The mail arrived despite of the location of the postmark :-)

Enclosed this great Mole shown above, and ATC's: of a Tardigrade, Chameleon, Lyrebird and a Sea Slug. And of course Nicole's famous Flying Piggy.

K Rolina Artist

I was surprised by K Rolina, who sent me a pretty envelope, with inside a beautiful booklet containing eight collages.
Above you see two of them, below the front side of the booklet:

And the back side of the colourful envelope:

Thank you very much, K Rolina!

Jimmy Connors (8)

Lovely Birds and a nice word play by Jimmy Connors. 'Gans' (in both German and Dutch) means 'Goose'. So it is clear the animals above are HooliGans!

Inside the decorated envelope some goodies arrived, like this matchbox named 'Vögel und Fische', which means 'Birds and Fish':

And look at this Mail Pigeon on a mail certificate (of which I have to find out how it works to send mail - and in what locations, a mystery since the last Dutch post offices has disappeared in 2010) (I think I'll keep this UPU paper as it is, because it is beautiful!

Thank you very much, vielen Dank, Jimmy!

Great shoes, the Walrus has!
The Carpenter is on the other ATC. The characters are of the wellknown book about Alice.
By the way, at IUOMA there's a group on Alice's 'Through the Looking Glass'.

Both ATC's have been created by ToniPoet and arrived in this envelope:

On the envelope Toni added a great stamp of someone reading mail.

And on the back there is this tiny lovely Horse:

Thank you very much, Toni!

Created and sent from the UK by StripyGoose.

On the back side a pretty Bat stamp, a Bird artistamp and Stripygoose's famous Bird rubberstamp:

Thank you very much, Stripygoose!

Jimmy Connors (7)

This Human being is said to be a vega sausage (?) but maybe it also is a weird collage?

Created and sent by Jimmy Connors from Germany.

THank you very much, herzlichen Dank, Jimmy!

Jimmy Connors (5, 6)

This colourful Dog/Fox, and much more animals, has been sent by Jimmy Connors from Berlin to the Netherlands.
Sending mail in return seems to be a little harder, but we'll re-try!

A portable postcard!

Note the Birds on the stamp: the Toucan's name in German is a funny one: Pfefferfresser (literally: pepper eater).

And I learned that Frogs can be mammals, too.

Thank you very much, vielen Dank, Jimmy!

Connie Jean (6)

Connie Jean, curator of the Squirrel Museum, created this colourful Bird mail art to send to me.

Fortunately I still noticed Squirrels, this time on the back of the card:

Thank you very much, Connie!

Jimmy Connors (3)

Collage of a weird looking/watching Human being, created by Jimmy Connors from Germany.

On the back side stamps showing sporty people. Jimmy added kind words about the Dutch women's soccer team who has won the European Championship recently, and I think it great he has added a German women's soccer stamp to the text also.
And as a mail lover I of course like the handwritten addition on bottom (about the space, intentionally left blank) and the fact that the Post couldn't resist adding some orange and dotty letters to it.

Thank you very much, vielen Dank, Jimmy!

Patricia Landon (2)

Two Butterflies, a Mermaid, Human Beings and a succulent. And orange mail. Created and sent by Patricia Landon from the USA.

The back side of the Butterfly card is orange as well, and has been posted in IUOMA's Orange mail art group:

Thank you very much, Patricia!

Erni Bär (6)

A few weeks ago Erni Bär celebrated his 70th birthday.
So I made him some mail art.

And he replied by a nourishing envelope, which contained two 'o.k.' tins. Alas my scanner refuses to scan the tins, afraid as the scanner is for scratches and holes on the glass plate.
But the envelope indeed has been scanned:

And of course the whistling Kurt:

Thank you very much, Erni!

Elliot

Elliot from China created this beautiful envelope. Besides the Woman, she added wonderful Horse stamps to her mail for me, plus a Year of the Dragon stamp.

And inside the envelope a kind letter, plus a wonderful stamp: Horses pictured and printed on silk!

Thank you very much, Elliot!

Jimmy Connors (2)

An new collage, a kind of Human being, by Jimmy "F." Connors from Germany.

On the back side of the card there are traces that someone (postman? mail monster?) must have eaten the stamp from top left...

Thank you very much, Jimmy! Herzlichen Dank, F.!
