Jimmy Connors (4)

A - usually enormous but this time mailable - animal arrived in my tiny P.O.Box!

He/she has a Bauhaus nose:

A 'sports and social security' spine:

A friendly face and strong legs to carry the enormous body:

Did I see it right? Yes, indeed he or she is...

... An Elephant!
All the way from Germany, thanks to Jimmy Connors.

Thank you very much, herzlichen Dank, Jimmy Connors!

Eva (25)

This pretty illustrated envelope I received from Eva. A cute Cow, and see what this Mail Bird holds in the beak!

On the front side Eva created a wonderful typography.

Thank you very much, moltes gràcies, Eva!

Hana Ehagaki (3)

The Moray Eel I always thought a dangerous fish for its sharp teeth and strong jaws. Fortunately both the fish and the lady, but also the postcard and the postmen survived the journey from Japan to the Netherlands.

The addition to the 'What or whom is she staring at?'-lady has been created by Hana Ehagaki. Thank you very much, arigato, Hana!

Kate Klyuenkova

These wonderful rubberstamps have been carved by Kate Klyuenkova.

Along with the stamp prints came a very kind letter and more, all traveling in this beautiful envelope, with matching Bird stamps. You can notice calligraphy in the stamps!

So kind of yours, thank you very much, Kate!

FinnBadger

Having been born in the Year of the Dragon, I always love to see Dragon mail. Receiving such mail makes my day complete!
FinnBadger created this beautiful one. In real it's even more beautiful, because the lines are shining silver and gold, and of course I love this cobalt blue background.

Gold is also on the postage stamps, issued by the USA post for the Lunar / Chinese New Years.
The scanned images don't show it that clear, but if you look close to the left upper corners of these stamps, maybe you see them: the Rat, the Snake and the Goat.

FinnBadger has some interesting and awesome websites, be sure to take a look at:
- his poems:
Poems found in Morrow
- mail art:
Envelope 100
- alphabets / letters:
A Letter a Week 2014
A Letter a Week 2013

Thank you very much, FinnBadger!

Vizma Bruns (4)

Vizma Bruns made me extremely happy by adding a lot of Platypus to her mail art. As you might know, all animals are my favourite animals, but some animals are a bit more favourite than others. The Platypus is one of them.

On the back of the envelope some beautiful rubber stamp prints. Among them many fish, an Octopus and the famous Bunny:

And inside, among others, a Painter / Artist. Some people consider painters / artists as a weird kind of humans, too, and we all know (but some of the same 'some people' don't like to concede) that also Humans are Animals :-)

Thank you very much, Vizma!

GX Jupitter-Larsen (2)

The same envelope by Ruud Janssen appears to be a source of various interpretations. GX made them. I already was spoiled by beautiful animal stamps, and am happy to see many more of them. Thank you, GX Jupitter-Larsen!

Kim JungYoun

Beautiful Bird and beautiful message. Created and sent by Kim JungYoun from Korea.

She also added beautiful stationery, and this suitable postage stamp from Japan - I love vegetables on stamps, and I'm sure the Dove has enjoyed the corn during the trip, too.

More animals on the envelope, and/at amazing beautiful postage stamps!

Thank you very much, Kim!

Thank you very much, Carina!

Svetlana Volosiuk

An amazing animal, created by Svetlana Volosiuk from Belarus.

On the back so much more to see. I love languages, so I'm happy that Svetlana added these ephemera in a language which I still have to explore.

And see the beautiful artistamp on the envelope, which matches to the right arm of the weird collaged animal!

More art you can find here, and more mail art by Svetlana you can find on her website.

Thank you very much, Svetlana!

Vizma Bruns (2)

A Platypus from the land of the Platypus: Australia!

Thanks to Vizma Bruns we can learn the story of the Old Man Platypus...

.. and learn how to have a drink while being in a Fish Tank! (My bottle of course contains water, or coffee.)
(What happened to Marie?)

Nice stamps, even a Mailogram and an original Vizma Artistamp!

This Giant Lobster was on the smallest part of the mail:

And this is a piece of fabric which really asks for being added some more stitches to!

And last but not least: a great transparent dotted envelope, with on the stamp... an Echidna, yay!

Thank you very much, Vizma!

Eraser Heed

The most amazing Lion I've ever seen, is the Abstract Lion! Issued as artistamps, created and sent from Sweden by Eraser Heed.

Below the well-known Bunny in his/her neonatal period and a little extended.

Great envelope, too. See the beautiful postage stamps, among them a serie of the celebration of 350 years Swedish Post (in 1986).

Thank you very much, E.H.!

Anke

Three families of animals in one post! A bird, a mammal and even an interesting and lovely invertebrate, created by Anke from the Netherlands.
She is editor of the Snail Mail Magazine and designer (look at the wonderful postage stamp!)
