Katerina Nikoltsou (27)

Spring has started and tomorrow will be Easter. So a good time to show Katerina's bunny here!

Along with the Rabbit an original artistamp arrived. It shows an interesting Bird, apparently created by bird lovers and bird drawers FinnBadger and Stripygoose:

And two contributions to my 'what or whom is she staring at?' mail art project:

Here you see some details, showing a who-hoo-Owl. The complete picture I'll show at the WOWISSA-blog.

The mail came in this nice envelope, showing an other Greek Owl:

And a Greek sports winner:

Thank you very much, Katerina, and Happy Easter!

Katerina Nikoltsou (24)

This envelope from Katerina Nikoltsou I received almost two weeks ago. I had to wait patiently, but finally - today! - I was allowed to open it.

And yes! It is Year of the Rooster mail art!
Thank you very much, Katerina, Happy New Year of the Rooster to you, too!

The back side showed an unexpected colour (unexpected, I mean, I don´t know why I always think of blue and turquoise when thinking of Katerina :-) )

Tonipoet (7)

A Bug, Monkey and that poor* Sloth united in this beautiful collage by ToniPoet from the USA.

(* had to walk all by him-/herself, while that other sloth was more fortunate)

On the envelope more animals show up, so to see the Snake and Lizard hardly escaped from the USPS inking seasonal machines!

And a leaded / stained glass like image (Marc Chagall's?),

and on the back side of this paper some other (human) animals: soccer players:

Dancers / twisters:

Last but not least Toni added some money: fluxus bucks!
Great to see how this bank note traveled via several mail artists.

Thank you very much, Toni!

Katerina Nikoltsou (21)

This wonderful envelope arrived from Greece. It has been created by Katerina Nikoltsou, and is one of the typical 'reversed envelopes' design.
Inside this envelope Katerina has put Banana mail art, a Minion, a Boekie (to be added to and returned) and so-called trashpo.

the Minion:

Greek Dada Trashpo Owl:

It's clear that I have to add to and return this boekie to sender:

On the back side of the envelope these Cats on washi tape:

Thank you very much, Katerina!

"E" (2)

A contribution to my 'What or whom is she staring at?' mail art project, also showing some animals: the Human and the Bunny on the envelope, and three Monkeys inside. Received from "E", ambassadeur d'Utopia.

Check E's website for his present mail art project, "The migrants - Isolated Minors - Europe, Promised Land?".

Merci beaucoup, "E"!

Lots of Animals in Thom's mail. Beautiful Birds stamps, and here's something with the Cow.

More Birds, on stamps and envelope - and do you notice the special stamp from the Heart Republik (République du Coeur)?!:

And a Human Bunny (or a Bunny Human?):

Finally a drawing of a Human:

Thank you very much, Thom!

Richard Baudet (4,5,6,7,8,9)

Richard Baudet added a lot of great findings to my 'add and return' project named "What or whom is she staring at?".
In some of the returned mail art Animals play an important role. Those of course belong here, although I'll post them on the IUOMA site, too.

I've showed one here before. Meanwhile Richard has caused more than once more smiles on my face,by, among them, the added-to-and-returns you can see here.

Thank you very much, merci beaucoup, Richard!

Connie Jean (3)

Some time ago I received mail art from Connie Jean, accompanied by a call for mail art for the Squirrel Museum. I sent my contribution, and Connie replied by sending this picture of the mini exhibition named Scurry (nr 6). A pleasure to see my mail art - and many other great mail art - has landed!

The photo came with this special animal (which I think a Squirrel however in some way it reminds me of this quote).

Thank you very much, Connie!

Connie Jean (2)

Interesting collage created and sent by Connie Jean from the United States.
You can view from all sides, but I choose to emphasise the Canary Bird who was a great (and sadly) warner in miners' days).

She added a call for mail art: draw a Squirrel!
Something I of course like to do immediately, and fortunately I found some time to do so. My Squirrel meanwhile has landed in the Squirrel Museum :-)

Thsnk you very much, Connie!

Keith S. Chambers (2)

Is it a Dog? Is it a Wrench? It is a Wrench Dog!
Created by Keith S. Chambers, this beautiful work of mail art titled 'Wrench dog', consisting of the African Wild Dog and an adjustable wrench.

Thank you very much, Keith!

Angela Behrendt (3)

Smiling young Wombat, one of the marsupials of Australia. Well, I'm not sure if this joey is smiling, because at this age, she should be inside the Wombat mom's pouch.

Anyways, I'm glad this interesting animal is joining us! Created and sent by Angela Behrendt from Germany.

Herzlichen Dank, Angela!

Katerina Nikoltsou (8)

Nice experiment: take an addresslist of one of the Brain Cell Life Forms of Ryosuke Cohen, turn it into an envelope, choose one of the addresses, add a stamp and send!
Some envelopes don't arrive, and some do.
For instance this one! Sent from Greece by Katerina Nikoltsou.

Inside the envelope the Blue Bunny, and two cats, and the Ray Johnson Bunny. Animals who deserve to live among all other real (weird) animals here :-)

P.S. The Easter Bunny in Dutch we call 'Paashaas', which means 'Easter Hare'. While the two of them are different animals!

Thank you very much, Katerina!
