Laura Griffin

This mail art I partly posted in the Banana mail art group months ago. However the beautiful Bird invited me to have him/her show up in this animals gallery, too!

Created ant sent by Laura Griffin from Canada.

On the envelope a nice Elk stamp (slightly missed by the cancellation stamper), two artistamps (might from Anna Banana?) and an awesome banana stamp print.

Thank you very much, Laura!

Erin Guerard

A gorgeous drawing of the Axolotl, accompanied by great typography, reached my mailbox. Created and sent from Canada by Erin Guerard.
The Axolotl is an amazing Amphibian, who keeps on living in the water when grown-up, in contrary to other amphibians who develop lungs and travel to land.

Also the envelope is great! Thank you very much, Erin!

Carolyn Oord

What a big surprise! After having sent the very first contribution to the 'Solitude' mail art project, Carolyn Oord continued to make me happy by sending these eight weird mammals from Canada. Or even more animals (do I see moose or reindeer calves on the stamp? And a walking fish rubber stamp print!)!

Click on the image to enlarge. From left to right, you can see the Manatee, the Giant Anteater, the Tarsier, the Galago, the Kinkajou, the Aye-aye, the Bandicoot, and even predecessors of our present horse.

Thank you very much, Carolyn!

Claudia Schramm

This amazing 'animal' has been sent by Claudia Schramm from Germany.
Weird animal... Is it a Rendeer, is it an Elk? And how come that this creature makes us think of the famous Chinese artist Weiwei Ai?
(More about Weiwei here, news about his detention here, and possibilities to start mail art projects here.)

Claudia has an interesting mail art project: "Schickt mir Euer Geweih" = "Send me your horns". More about / from Claudia Schramm you can read on her website: Schrammiroquai.

Vielen Dank, Claudia!
