Katerina Nikoltsou (35)

In the title I counted nr 35, although that is incorrect: Katerina has made and send me much more great and very much appreciated mail art. Only lack of time made me publish just a few pieces of mail art in the past years.
This Whale in Space is one of the examples of Katerina's wonderful mail art works, mixed media (acryl paint, collage) and caused a big smile on my face, as big as the whale's smile. Thank you very much, Katerina!

Valentine Mark Herman

This beautiful Platypus was created by Valentine Mark Herman from France, or from the Aborigine Settlement in Sigean to be more precise.

I love this dotted Platypus and I love the turquoise surroundings. Thank you very much, Val!

Ruud Janssen (4)

A flock of Bunnies entered my mailbox!
After coming out of the envelope, most of them seemed to be a little shy...

.. and ran back into the safe warm colourful house they had come out: the Envelope!
Weird, isn't it?

The envelope contained more beauties and has been created by Ruud Janssen (who has the same initials as the person who taught the world how to draw a bunny).

Thank you very much, hartelijk dank, Ruud!

Claudia McGill

I'm not sure if this was meant for 'Real Weird Animals', but I see a friendly smiling Fish (or maybe dangerous? - see the mouth and eye one the left) in this acrylic painting, created and sent from the USA by Claudia McGill.
Black and turquoise, I love that combination!

On the address side a nice mixed media paint-collage work of art, and I also love the fresh light green. There's a person on the stamp - 'wisdom', has been written below the picture... Is it the God of Wisdom, or a Human? As I thought the god of wisdom always is a Goddess (Minerva, Pallas Athena), I will label/tag him as a Human being. The fact that wise human beings solve Rubik cubes, write complicated texts and so on, makes them a little weird, too.

Take a look at Claudia's blog, there are many nice, great works of mail art and other art!

Thank you very much, Claudia, for this pleasant surprise in my mailbox!
