Mail Art Martha (10) and Cascadia Artpost (5)

Great documentation of Mail Art Martha's and Cascadia Artpost's mail art project 'Sending out the Clowns'. See also The Clown Parade.
Thank you very much, the two of you!

Mail Art Martha (9)

I love comics, and those of Mail Art Martha are great. See how Ali Khat and Vermina Rat are chatting. And wonder, with us, whether Vermina will succeed in entering the IUOMA Orange group or not :-)

Created and sent by Mail Art Martha.
She added also a tiny book in which there is an explanation about apples, Celts and Halloween. Interesting!

And well-known artistamps on the envelope! The Fish by Keith Chambers (see also here), and the Clowns project stamp, from the collaboration between Mail Art Martha and Cascadia Artpost.

Thank you very much, Mail Art Martha!

Cascadia Artpost (4)

The title immediately made me grab this mail art card to learn the answer to the question which keeps me busy already for ages. How to perforate (arti)stamps?

Please don't give up, Mouse, we'll find the answer one day!

Sent by Cascadia Artpost, created by WastePaper??, with thanks - or apologies, I read - to the amazing George Herriman.

The back side shows nice artistamps and USPS stamps. Thanks to Cascadia's instruction manual I learned that the solar eclipse is caused by...

... the Moon!

On the 21st of August the Peeps in the USA can see this total eclipse.

Thank you very much, Cascadia Artpost!

From Cascadia Artpost I received some Peeps, tiny Human beings, before.
Thanks to this new mail art, a photo-diorama sent by Cascadia Artpost, too, it becomes clear to me in what kind of surroundings they live.

Cascadia Artpost and Mail Art Martha organized a Clown Parade mail art project recently. Prefering animals to clowns, I've sent them a Clown fish. I couldn't choose whether to send it to Cascadia Artpost in Cascadia, USA, or to Mail Art Martha in the Queendom of Retailia, UK. So I learned the postman has chosen to bring it to the USA.

Thank you very much, Cascadia Artpost!

These little fellows are called 'Peeps', but I would label them in this blog as human beings.
Nice photos, and note the artistamp on the backside. Thank you very much, Cascadia Artpost!

The same day this envelope came into my mailbox. Great messages on the rubber stamp prints on the back, don't you all think so?!

Inside an unexpected surprise: a 'Go Green' card! Cascadia Artpost has sent me a 'Go Green' card some time ago. It's an amazing card: within the paper there are seeds, which you can let grow by planting the postcard.
However, the back side of the previous card I considered too beautiful to have it vanish into the soil, so I wanted to keep that card complete.
And now he had sent me a second, almost blank, card! Looking forward to seeing which kind of plants will grow out of this.

Thanks so much, Cascadia Artpost, so thoughtful of yours!

Cascadia Artpost

You can see humans and sheep on this special collage named 'Commodity Civilization'.
So I thought it a good alibi to publish this mail art here at the Real Weird Animals blog.
Humans weird? Sure, I think so: regarding consumerism, sheep are many times more wise. They eat what they need, while we, many human beings in the western world, fall for merchandise and thus treat the earth very bad. To 'eat' (read: buy, buy, buy) far more than we need.

Made and sent by Cascadia Artpost from the USA.

Thank you very much, Jack!
