Jimmy Connors (5, 6)

This colourful Dog/Fox, and much more animals, has been sent by Jimmy Connors from Berlin to the Netherlands.
Sending mail in return seems to be a little harder, but we'll re-try!

A portable postcard!

Note the Birds on the stamp: the Toucan's name in German is a funny one: Pfefferfresser (literally: pepper eater).

And I learned that Frogs can be mammals, too.

Thank you very much, vielen Dank, Jimmy!

Pufflingspaintings

"Sqoxes are surprisingly good at snorkeling. They hide their best nuts in ziplock bags under rocks as no one ever finds them there (often this includes themselves as they are terribly forgetful)."

I am a big fan of Pufflingspaintings' paintings. I learned to know the painter via Instagram. You can find her also on Twitter and Etsy. Every time her illustrations of the adventures of Sqox and Unicorn succeed to cause a big smile on my face.

"Just having a little lunch."

Some time ago, after a conversation we had on instagram about nuts, I decided to send her my version of Sqox, accompanied by some delicious chestnuts.
And some time later she surprised me with these great illustrations.

Some summer views of Unicorn.

Thank you very much, Pufflingspaintings!

Tammy Riggins

Great mail art envelope, created and sent from the USA by Tammy Riggins.

The Fox and Dog of course lead me to add her mail art to this blog.

Inside there's this collage you see above. At first thought I'm seeing a face in it (humans are animals too, aren't they?!). However, with a less closer look, watching through the eyelashes and/or with some fantasy, you can see some feathered flying friends in it, too!

Thank you very much, Tammy!

Ehagaki Hana

This beautiful colour pencil drawing of a Warbler has been created by Hana Ehagaki from Japan.
The drawing arrived in this beautiful envelope:

With the animals came these interesting postmarks, among them a stamp print of the Kingdom of Amaooi.
And more Birds! A Shoe-billed stork, and a Gannet, so to see (?).

And beautiful train designs (besides animals, I love trains).

Thank you very much, Hana!

Micu (5)

Great mixed media mail art from Micu from Hungary!
The Fox shouldn't be hunt by people, Micu writes on the back of this card.
And I agree with her. (Although all rabbits and hares would be very pleased if people would hunt foxes - but I think people should not hunt rabbits and hares either, even though these long-eared animals eat all vegetables from our local garden before I get the opportunity to harvest them.)

This Fox fortunately is friendly, he or she even allows a Sheep to sit on his/her back, to make it a real Easter card!

Thank you very much, nagyon szépen köszönöm, Micu!
