Call for Mail Art: Weird (existing) Animals! Platypus, Tapir, Okapi, Echidna, Mole, Axolotl are some of my favourite animals. They have in common that they exist irl and that they are uncommon. Which animal do you think odd? Send your image of an unusual (existing, no fantasy) animal. All media are welcomed, preferable postcard size (10x15 cms), maximum A4 (20x30 cms). No jury, no fee, no return. All weird existing animals will be published in this ongoing virtual exhibition.

Katerina Nikoltsou (25)
A red Rooster and a blue Owl. And much more! Created and sent by Katerina Nikoltsou from Greece.
On the back (of front) of the above, she added a wonderful water colour in blue:
And a collage in darker colours (and a moon),
The envelope shows a human being, a Greek goddess:
Also the stamp shows a human being.
(I wonder why John Catsimadis appears on a Greek stamp and why wikipedia tells about him in English and Russian only?)
Thank you very much, Katerina!

I saw the Mourning Athena, and it impressed me so much. But... are you sure that Gods are human beings? :DD
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI didn't know the name of this Athena, thank you for letting me know, Eva!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd, yes, if goddesses can mourn, they have human emotions. Well, I think animals have human emotions, too. Maybe all living creatures have emotions. (food for thought and investigation :-) )
I always thought that gods have divine emotions. But,as you wrote, I need some study on this question... :D
